Hello! We are Dave and Hollie Zajicek, owners of the Mapletown Manor located at 119 N 4th. St. in beautiful Osage, Iowa (known as The City of Maples). The Mapletown Manor is an 1860's historic Italianate manor built by Dr. John Whitley shortly after the end of the Civil War. Dr. Whitley was married to Ada Chase Whitley, daughter of Dr. S.B. Chase. The Chase and Whitley families were pioneers in the medical field in Mitchell County and helped establish and build the town of Osage. They were also repsonsible for planting hundreds of lovely Maple trees throughout the town, giving Osage its nickname of 'The City of Maples'.

The Mapletown Manor is open to the public throughout the year for various events, small-venue rentals, tours, and holiday experiences. www.MapletownManor.com.

The Mapletown Mercantile, soon to be opened in the 2-story 1900 historic retail building located at 615 Main Street in Osage, IA, will be an exciting new addition to the Mapletown business ventures. The Mercantile will offer a variety of whimsical products and experiences in an old-world fashion.

More details and mysterious clues will be released over the next several months as we work to finish the interior renovations. Stay tuned.. small town magic is on the way!
